We have determined that this patient has vitamin B12 deficiency and associated thrombosis manifested in the presentation of an acute pulmonary embolus.

What are your major management decisions?

Should therapy be instituted for a pulmonary embolus?
Should therapy be instituted for the vitamin B12 deficiency?
Should iron stores be assessed at this time?
Is a neurologic evaluation recommended?
